How to Make Easy Lead Generators For Your Website

Easy Lead Generators are the #1 way to grow your email list, fill your sales funnel, and connect with people who are most interested in purchasing your products.

What Is A Lead Generator?

A lead generator is a product, trial, or experience that you can promote to prospective customers in exchange for their email address and potentially other forms of information (such as name and phone numbers)

Why Do I Need A Lead Generator?

Your website must have a lead generator to collect contact information from potential customers. On your website, you need a simple offer that provides the visitor value. It can be a free trial subscription, discount code, product sample, eBook, white-papers, or a free consultation. Whatever you give away must be free and provide the user with value. In exchange, you ask for their email, phone number, or other means of contact.

“We do a lot of one night stands in lead generation and not enough long term relationships.”

Mike King, iPullRank

The Two Keys Components Of Every Successful Lead Generator

The first part is the content. You should set a realistic goal for that content. For example, this eBook is our primary lead generator. Our goal is not to sell you our digital marketing services, but to educate and provide valuable information about digital marketing to show authority/knowledge and build confidence in the KOER Media brand.

Instead of a hard sales pitch, use your lead generator as a moment of persuasion towards your goal. Since our goal is about authority and confidence in our brand, we are telling you how we build great digital marketing campaigns so you can do it yourself. You may not need a digital marketing agency for your business right now, and that’s fine because our goal is to grow a relationship with you and prove to you that we have authority in the digital marketing space.

The second piece your lead generator needs is to utilize the contact information provided. After all, the contacts you generate through your website are sales leads. Once someone signs up, send them a welcome email with whatever you’re offering. Track their progress. If they didn’t open the first email, send another one a few days later. Don’t be afraid to consistently get in touch with your lead for the next couple of weeks.

If someone filled out a form to get your offer, they showed enough interest where they won’t feel like you are spamming them. The last thing to note is many lead generators fail to connect their leads to a consistent Email Marketing campaign, but we’ll discuss this a little later.

Our Favorite Type of Lead Generator

Determining which kind of lead generator goals to set can be tricky. For B2B, we generally suggest offering an eBook or White Sheet. For B2C, offering trials, product samples, discount codes can work very well. Regardless, to maximize results, we always require three things:

  • Highly Targeted: You need to reach people who are already interested.
  • Extremely Valuable: People don’t give away their contact info easily.
  • High Quality: Your offer will represent your brand; a lackluster offer could tarnish a good name.

Don’t Be Deceptive

There are some business leaders that try to trick people into providing their email address. Don’t do this. Legitimate emails are very valuable. You do not want to collect low-quality leads; you want leads that convert into sales. Additionally, sending emails can become expensive. If you collect bad leads, you will clog up your ability to affordably reach the people who are actually interested in your products. Plus, if bad leads perceive you as spam and report you to your newsletter service provider, you could get banned.

“If you make customers unhappy in the physical world, they might each tell six friends. If you make customers unhappy on the Internet, they can each tell 6,000 friends.”

Jeff Bezos, Amazon

The value of a high-quality lead generator is obvious. You are missing out on a lot of business if you never invest in creating and promoting a lead generator.
